Permission to Distort explores the freedom to be real in a world that constantly demands perfection.

 

Each piece centers on a specific internal moment — a psychological situation where emotion and consciousness enter into dialogue. It is the quiet debate between what we feel and what we believe we should do about it. Between instinct and control. Between vulnerability and self-regulation.

 

Distortion becomes a form of honesty. The fragmented figures and layered compositions mirror the complexity of that inner negotiation — the parts of ourselves that do not align neatly, that resist being corrected, softened, or made presentable.

 

Rather than offering resolution, this series invites the viewer to evolve with the work. To move through the layers, to recognize fragments of themselves, and to experience an internal journey of self-comprehension and relief.
